Get rid of the embarrassing body odor naturally at home


 Body odor is truly embarrassing; it brings down one's self esteem and confidence.

I could quite remember my college days, arrhgg it was awful. I had a very bad body odor; tried out many remedies to stop it but did not work at that time. I very much remember how my friends made fun of me, talked behind me, and mocked me. It was horrible.

You know, you would not know you smell very bad yourself  unless someone who is bold enough tells you. This is because you will become very acclamatised to it.

My mom talked about how bad my body odor was way before I went to college. But it really got worse in college because there was too many students in one domitory and these domitory rooms were not well ventilated. Too much sweat is a recipe for disaster as far as body odor is concerned. It was very bad.

My last few days in college and after college, I started reading a lot about the human body and the human health. That was when I became enlightened and started understanding my body perfectly well. As soon as I started doing what was good for my body and ignoring what was not good for it, I started smelling so fresh and became quite the lady's man.

Here are ways you can avoid or get rid of body odor at home naturally.

1. Check your diet.

Vegetarian or vegan diet can be very helpful in getting rid of body odor. I placed myself on a vegan diet for a year, that was 2019 and to be honest, it was really good. You will not smell anything bad at all on your body even after sweating the whole day. Even when you fart, it does not smell bad at all.

According to several health experts, balanced vegetarian or vegan diet contains more organic, easily digestible content that digest easily in the body hence makes the body smell good.

In the year 2006, researchers from Czech Republic carried out a study and found out that vegetarian men are seen by women as  "significantly more attractive, more pleasant, and less intense" .



2. Shower at least two times a day.

Showering twice or thrice or more in a year is very important when it comes to getting rid of body odor. Why because, when there are some bacteria on your skin causing problem, they will not get a conducive environment and perfect conditions to operate and cause problems.

Also, showering frequently removes and clears off dirt than can bring about body odor.

Finally, it takes of sweat, which is one of the main factors that contribute to body odor.



3. Wash your clothes regularly.

Washing of clothes regularly takes off the sweat in the clothes and prevents body odor-causing bacteria from operating.

Do not repeat a clothe without washing. Use a bacteria-killing soap in washing to make sure all bacteria are eliminated.



4. Use baking powder.

Apply baking soda to your pubic parts a few minutes before you shower. It wipes off all the dirt and bacteria that can cause body odor. Its pH makes it good for preventing bacteria growth.



5. Use wood ash.

Apply wood ash to your armpit before showering. Because of the nature of its pH, it destabilises the condition of the armpit that helps bacteria to grow.



6. Apply lemon on your armpit.

Get a lemon, wash it very thoroughly and cut it into two equal halves. Rub one in your right armpit and the other in the left. Wait for it to dry in your armpit. Now go and shower.



7. Lime.

Get a juicy lime. Cut it into two. Rub one in your right armpit and the other one in your left armpit. Wait for about 10 minutes. Go for your bath.



8. Take care of your pubic hair.

Pubic hairs are one of the major causes of body odor. They can serve as a perfect habitat for body odor causing bacteria.

One of the best ways to prevent body odor is to make sure there are no hairs in your pubic areas especially your armpit. Too bad. Shave very often.



9. Dry Clothes properly after washing.

Bacteria love moist areas so if your clothes are not properly dried after washing, it is a recipe for body odor. It does not matter how well you take care of your body, if your clothes are wet and not properly dried, you are going to smell.



10. Shoes.

Sometimes the smell from your shoes add up to the whole smell that comes out as body odor. Make sure your shoes are dry before you wear them and try as much as you can to wear socks.



11. Exercise in open air areas.

Sedentary lifestyle is the cause of major health problems in humans. The more you exercise, the more you sweat and the more you sweat the lesser smelly your sweat will become.



12. Wood ash plus lemon or lime.

Get a wood ash. Cut lemon or lime. Squeeze the juice into the wood ash. Apply it to your armpit before going to the shower.



13. Eat lots of fruits.

Eating more fruits can result in you smelling quite good. This is because it is way more easier for the body to digest fruits. Fruits that make you smell good after eating include pineapple, orange and apple.



14. Avoid eat certain vegetables.

Broccoli, cabbage, onion, garlic are a few of the vegetables you must stay away from if you really want to avoid bad body odor and smell good.
